Using a Vision System (RoboEyes) allows you to capture a photograph of the cutting area. It shows the actual slab in place on the cutting table. You do NOT have to place the slab in any particular position, you do NOT have to zero-out your machine, you do NOT have to dry-run your job file.
All that you need to do is take a picture and load a DXF file. That DXF file is then loaded over the slab image and your operator drags and drops the pieces into place. Wherever those pieces are placed on the slab is where RoboCut will cut them from.
In addition, using RoboCut with USG Robotics other software Virtual Inventory Management and VeinMatch allows you to do all piece placement off-site (before your slab is ever placed on the cutting table). This will save your operator time which will, in turn, lower your labor costs and increase your shops throughput.
